Michael Grassick

Michael took out his training licence at the start of 2013 He had been assistant trainer to his father for many years before that. Michael also gained valuable experience abroad, working in Melbourne Australia, and was a graduate of the Irish National Stud course in 2005. His notable winners include TEXAS ROCK, who won the Owenstown Stud Stakes (Listed Race) and the Waterford Testimonial Stakes (Listed Race), and VERHOYEN who won the Tote Scurry Handicap (Premier Handicap).

Roisin Grassick   

Manager/Administration

Roisin handles all the administrative tasks of the business while also providing hands on support in the yard and with racing. Her background is mainly in the breeding side of the thoroughbred industry, having worked in Coolmore Stud, the Irish National Stud, and Castlemartin Stud. She now works fulltime in the training business and takes care of the couples two children.

Michael Grassick Snr.

Michael Grassick Snr previously trained for over 40 years himself and is a Group 1 winning trainer. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to racehorse training and racing and his expertise and advice are invaluable to his son. Michael also provides hands on support in the yard since his retirement from the IRTA where he was CEO for 10 years.

Danny Sheehy

Stable Jockey

Danny joined us at the start of 2024 as our stable jockey and has greatly contributed to the business since coming on board. His steady nature, strong work ethic and his skills in the saddle are a huge asset to us here and we are excited to continue the relationship between Danny and the yard into the future. 

Robbie Donnelly

Work Rider 

Robbie joined us here in Fenpark in January 2022 after spending the last decade working for Ger O'Leary.  He had previously worked for John McLoughlin, Jeremy Harley, John Oxx and Pat O'Leary. His experience and positive attitude to work are greatly appreciated here at Fenpark.

David Flynn

Dave Flynn worked for Michael since the start in 2013, having already worked for Michael Grassick Snr before that. He was with the Grassick family for over 40 years. Dave finished his employment with us at the end of 2021 but will always be seen as an honorary member of the team here.
